Depends. For larger per-country packages, yes. nostr:npub1vr2nva0s0hhfulthjy8053rg9kruk5erzwaxdw85gjwkfytj994sgudzvx is cheaper and more flexible for world-wide plans.
If you find any plans where you think the prices for countries that feel too high just let me know and I’ll manual override them to the best I can to make a fair price!
Haha you're awesome! It really depends. If you travel to many different countries then silent.link might be better but it depends on the countries. Also for some people pay-as-you-go might be more attractive.
Paraguay is 84$ for 20gb 🥲
Silent.link doesn't work there
Hey, I added an override for Paraguay so the packages should be cheaper now! Unfortunately the packages I buy from there are already super expensive.
With scale I hope there will be a way I can buy packages in bulk so they are cheaper for the end user but for the immediate future this is the best price I can offer!
Awesome! Yeah it seems South America is expensive everywhere. Thank you!
Super cheap and especially without expiry of the credit.
Silent Links’ pricing per GB seems to vary a lot depending on the network you’re connected to, which makes it a bit tricky to figure out. On Sovran, we’ve worked to make this much clearer—you can see everything laid out simply on the product page:

That said, I don’t want to throw shade at other companies in the space—users seem to like them, and that’s great. My focus is on making sure Sovran provides clear, fair pricing for eSIMs.
We are still finding our footing but I think you might be surprised how cheap our eSIMs are. We more or less match the prices of Silent and in many cases are cheaper. Users will pick what they feel is right for them.
does your sim support the expensive networks? nevent1qqswlm5gemm3snuwc29pkx8eghqc6kdv4ge06pzcnw5yuxu945skepc6wwxhq
On the invoice page it shows which networks / operators are supported for the package you are buying. If you had some specific networks you need to use it would be worth checking, it's normally not a consideration for me but I could imagine it is for some if you are in Alaska or something.
You are a good eSIM option with fair pricing. Thank you.
Another good option is nostr:nprofile1qqsxp4fkwhc8mm5704mezrh6g35zmp7t2v338wnxhr6yf8tyj9ezj6cpr9mhxue69uhkzer4d36zuvfcwpk82uewwdhkx6tpdsq3camnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wvf5hgcm0d9hx2u3wwdhkx6tpdsfdxw23. Particularly because their plans don’t expire.
If you make 2 or more international trips a year, the leftover minutes you bought for your first trip can still be used for your second trip months later. And you can easily add more minutes to top off.
Do you also offer data-only eSIMs that work globally and don’t expire?
Our provider doesn’t currently offer non-expiring eSIMs, so that isn’t possible at the moment.
We also offer Global eSIMs—you’ll find them listed as the first two items in the region list here:
👀
Let me know when your eSIMs don’t expire 😌 until then happy customer of nostr:nprofile1qqsxp4fkwhc8mm5704mezrh6g35zmp7t2v338wnxhr6yf8tyj9ezj6cprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnrdakjuct4qyv8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgunpw35jucm0d5htjaga 🙌
Gjirafa and silent link are really good low prices
Can it top up?
Looks good
eSIMs ? Wow
Good pricing. Any plans to add unlimited data plans?
Unlimited data plans aren't contractually possible to offer in the US as far as I can tell. Banned by the big tech cartel
Indeed cheaper than bitrefill 👌
Trying 3 different lightning wallets and it didn’t work

Should work now ☺️
i will use your esim if i know exactly that i spend this amount of time in this specific country and i dont have wifi and i need a lot of data
but nostr:nprofile1qqsxp4fkwhc8mm5704mezrh6g35zmp7t2v338wnxhr6yf8tyj9ezj6cpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqgcwaehxw309aex2mrp0yh8xmn0wf6zuum0vd5kzmq58j0ss global is just the most convenient thing, i don’t want to plan my esim when i travel and i also dont want to plan how much data i spend in which amount of time because i dont know its different every month
still really appreciate that your are doing this, maybe silent link needs to shutdown then your are definitely the choice haven’t seen any other better option so far except you 2
yeah, I think silent link is pretty cool for a certain demographic. I'm the type of person that roughly knows how much data I consume when I travel so the Sovran eSIMs work well for me. I definitely designed this product for me 😅
I want to add more providers for truly global & no expiry because I know that is a sticking point for many. I have done research on this like once a month and I'm always unsatisfied with the providers.
Thanks for the feedback, the future of eSIMs is definitely no-expiry and probably global and I think once the tech gets better we will see more providers offer this.
if you can get this working, there a lot of features that you or silent link could implement which would make the product even better like NWC, working SMS balance notifications, topup and data analytics in app, widgets…
I could simulate no-expiry in a way by using NWC if I trigger a topup near the end of the eSIM expiring or when data is running low. SMS balance notifications would be pretty easy to add, right now we show how much data / duration is left on your invoice page.
You gave me a lot to think about and perhaps I should prioritize this.
