Finding my voice on social media has always been a struggle for me throughout my life.

I’m not sure where it exactly it comes from and how much poker has to do with it, but I finally feel I’m turning a corner and it feels very freeing.

I’m excited to continue to learn about myself through this process and improve at something completely different.

I find being my authentic self and speaking my truth is magnitudes easier on nostr. It feels more natural than any other space. Likely due to it being a space built on principles of freedom and filled with people who share that value✨

I can see that being true but it’s not my experience — at least so far. For me it’s more of a mindset shift than anything. If someone doesn’t like my thoughts on the other platforms then it’s more of a reflection of them and where they’re at, than me. So I don’t take it personal and keep doing me.

I know what you mean, less the poker part. This site has a different vibe than any other place I have socialized online.

Something about the code and the community makes it feel like I'm really talking directly with a human being rather than having a conversation in some sort of laboratory.

The incentives are better here.

You don't need to shout or trigger people to be heard.

It takes time consistently delivering value to build trust & reach.

It's also trivially easy to silence someone disseminating hate & fear. I can tune my own feed to a reality that I prefer with surprisingly little effort.

What I've found is that the more authentically I express my higher self, the more relevant my expression is to my physical self. It's like I'm communicating better with myself here through mine & everyone else's expression.

I think the 4 agreements are the best way to approach Nostr (and life):

- be impeccable with your word

- make no assumptions

- take nothing personally

- always do your best

It's a simple book that captures some of the wisdom of the Toltecs.
