Just ordered a new Pixel 9 Pro XL, got the 1TB model in Obsidian. My 6 Pro has been a solid companion, but it was time to upgrade. Pretty excited to feel the performance upgrades.

It has been, but might go stock on this one for a front-facing business phone for more convenient productivity and keep my 6 pro for more private matters. The jury is still out. We'll see ...soon.
I grabbed a 8 pro on a deal, upgrading from a 6a. I've done the same. The pro is my normie phone, and I'm learning about GrapheneOS with the 6a. Best of both worlds.

2 phones are a great way split business from private stuff. I like it more than using profiles on GrapheneOS. Have some kind of doxxed stuff on one phone and the the on a nym phone.
They are heavy duty hardware!
The 5x optical zoom is nice.
This is example 30x zoom with poor light conditions that I just took. It does a lot of AI processing, but it makes stuff legible and genuinely better than my eyes...

I just can't get with the bigger form factor 🤔 maybe i'm old fashioned? 😅 I'm a one hand/comfortable in the pocket kinda person. But I have been tempted now that they have the pro model in the smaller size.
They do! I thought about going for it, but I don't actually own a tablet rn, and I am into minimizing my tech and maximizing the quality of that tech, so it seemed to be the logical choice for me.
That makes sense. I think I will accept the bigger form factor when the tri-fold screen is well established... maybe by the end of this decade if they keep developing it 🤷🏻♂️ then the real tablet size potential will make the size worth it in my opinion. Until then i'm all about pocketability 😎

We will see 😅 the lack of durability is the main issue... if that doesn't get resolved to some degree then the tri fold phone will be pointless, or then it's two phones. One for daily and tri-fold for special occasions... at that point i guess I might aswell just have the seperate phone and tablet again 🤔 maybe the tri-fold is dead in the water now that i invest a moments thought to it 🤣
Shipment delayed; it will be here tomorrow. Preparing to navigate the waters of transferring my data (500+ GB) from GrapheneOS back to Android OS. Seems like it's going to involve a fair bit of manual transferring and reinstalling. Backing up now. Curious to see how this goes.
