i like the idea of a small panel/battery to run the controller, and a rising cylinder setup to produce methane pressure. if you could keep the decomposition going at a decent rate, thats actual sustainable refrigeration.
Pressurizing combustibles is usually where you run into your safety concerns :)

that’s because we try to cram everything into a container rather than use natural forces like gravity.
