There is really not much excuse for why you should not be running your own Bitcoin/ lightning node and a Nostr relay. It's inexpensive, fun, easy and a great learning experience.
I highly encourage everyone to do it.

I really don’t want to build my own computer. I am somewhat technical but buying an umbrel seems to work well and come as a package right? Have definitely considered them, but also looking into start9 and bitfuture

You will also need a micro SD card of some size but I'm sure you can locate one that works for you.
All the links I posted are just what I used. You can probably get much cheaper things. Just posting what I purchased, and by no means saying you need to get these things I posted.
