There is really not much excuse for why you should not be running your own Bitcoin/ lightning node and a Nostr relay. It's inexpensive, fun, easy and a great learning experience.

I highly encourage everyone to do it.

I really don’t want to build my own computer. I am somewhat technical but buying an umbrel seems to work well and come as a package right? Have definitely considered them, but also looking into start9 and bitfuture

Umbrel is an OS and you have to buy the components to build the mini PC (board, case, hard drive), and install the OS. It's not complicated.

You will also need a micro SD card of some size but I'm sure you can locate one that works for you.
