I listen to this and it never ceases to put a smile on my heart; I can feel the heat of the day in this clip, but I would’ve endured it. I can only imagine the overpowering sense of the “Promise of Tomorrow” that people felt at this moment in history
future politicians will never be able to emulate the same level of sheer energy, charisma, humour, and intellect that JFK had, much less the palpably-exciting zeitgeist that was the Space Race
I’m a millennial, but I’m jealous of boomers for having shared the same world with this moment in time and figurehead of such gravitas
