While I generally agree that we can learn to transcend animal instincts, they will always be included in the spectrum of human experience.

No matter how long you meditate the primitive mammalian parts of the brain will still be there.

Removing them would kill us.

Perhaps, but I think the mose successful humans will be those who are able to control their animal instincts and not run with a herd of morons.
