Yes I could really up the ante if I turned the whole front yard into growing space. It’s a balance between socking away some provisions right now and keeping up the curb appeal so we can gtfo of here onto a country lot soon. And everything I build right now has to be moved. It’s a deterrent to progress.

Juggling. Question of timing and no idea where you are but could always plant a couple of butter nuts or pumpkins. Let em roam around. Just chuck em in the ground. I used to do that in Spain on small plot. Outside of my raised beds and then just trained them a little, moving them out of the way cause they grow like stink. Whatever actually fruited got harvested and left in the sun to dry for a week or two and then stored for winter

Yes based on what I learned about squash this year, that’s a great idea. I could end up with hundreds of pounds of food in the front yard. I would likely just dig a dozen 3 gallon holes and fill them with sunshine mix growing medium. Cool

If you ever go to south west Spain in September / October, and head into the villages, you’ll see walls topped with pumpkins and butter nuts drying. They’re great. Last ages in a dry cool and dark environment
