Topical Relays fix this

I always approach a new social media tool in a sort of exploratory way, as if it essentially exists in a world by itself. Keyword search to find interesting thoughts/ideas that align or intrigue. Follow those folks, then watch the feeds of those folks and pick off/follow the people they follow. Iterate. I don't attempt to create a follow list based on my previous social media accounts (though of course there will be a handful of people of specific interest that I will seek out). How do others build a follow list here?

That guy hasn’t posted a single top level note that I can find. Not even a single “gm”. Also, he hasn’t commented on other people’s notes in 8 months. If you’re gonna just be a lurker, best way to find people is to use primal and browse trending global to find content.

My comment to them - Looking at who you follow in terms of who they then follow - even if only starting following 5 accounts it’s a brutally simple way to discover further accounts.

The fact that likes don’t further broadcast does make a big difference from Twitter though and makes the whole like button pretty surplus to requirements.

Nostr devs - solve this please across clients.

I know there are solutions, but the solutions are not enough or not working well enough. People's experience suffers.
