The most amazing thing in vietnam: officially communist and dominated by a few connected ‘comrade families’ politically & economically, while on the citizen level its pretty much free markets & regulation is completely ignored and not much enforcable. No one takes the gov serious or even thinks twice if they are ‘honorable’ or ‘respectable’. Lived in vn for a few years. Quite the eye opener
