Meh. Amethyst is horrible at tagging. He knows he's awesome and doesn't need my validation.

With all the fake impersonator accounts its getting even worse when it comes to tagging on Nostr. I have to like triple check I'm not tagging a impersonator account on Amethyst. I literally copy the note paste in my notes app then go directly to person page copy npub then back to notes app paste in then can go post on Nostr because basic interface of tagging on Amethyst I can't tell who the scammer is and which is the real account.
I do that sometimes too, but not because of impersonation, because most of the time tagging doesn't work. 😭
If I have any doubt I usually look them up on nostr.band and then just copy the npub.
Same on Damus. Before NostrDB was implemented I would only see accounts that I follow when I went to tag. Now I see everything, including imposters. Nostur does a good job of marking accounts as possible imposters.

I proposed an idea that if we have an account muted, they should not appear when tagging someone. There might be a better way to do this, so I’ll defer to the technical experts.
