It's amazing how many of the things Hal Finney said back in the day regarding Bitcoin are coming true.

This has become a race, and when someone says bullshit like Bitcoin has been captured by institutions, go back and read Hal's posts on Bitcointalk.

Are there any good books about Hal Finney? Any resources you could recommend? He was definitely an original pillar of bitcoin, if not the master himself.

He probably didnt forsee political grift fests disguised as btc conferences though. He probably didnt forsee people begging DC to hoard btc and artificially increase the price. He probably didnt see people wasting time arguing over terminology. And he certainly didnt forsee people, after arguing foe years that btc isnt crypto, to all of a sudden see or hear the word btc whenever trump says crypto. And the truth is, it matters not what someone said years back. What matters is the reality of today.

“Since we’re all rich with bitcoins, or we will be once they’re worth a million dollars like everyone expects, we ought to put some of this unearned wealth to good use.” Is that the quote or were you pointing to something different?

I want to add, I am not opposed to btc. I find it very useful. My issue is the ethos that has drastically shifted, even in the short time Ive been in this space.

Omit noise

Absolutely. 🫡
