A lot of people use github here, nostr is full of devs. You want to start the translation of bitcoin rocks ?

Oh shit, totally forgot I was going to look into that aswell ๐Ÿ˜… still on my to-do list tho.

But I wanted to use Github to help me understand this app called Ghostfolio I have installed on my nostr:npub1aghreq2dpz3h3799hrawev5gf5zc2kt4ch9ykhp9utt0jd3gdu2qtlmhct device. But like I said, it always gives me the shivers when looking at it.

1.Learn to code

2. Learn GitHub

3. Write an AI bot

4. Let it take over your shit code

5. Learn electronics

6. Invent the flux capacitor

7. Go back in time

8. Kill Linus Torvalds

9. You donโ€™t have to worry about him inventing GitHub anymore

๐Ÿ˜‚

I suggest you start with: https://github.com/sovenor/bitcoin-rocks/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md

It seems intimidating at first but all you have to do is copy paste files, install github desktop and atom, use atom to change the text in files you have to translate, save, sync it with github desktop

You may need more help for fork the repo and understand fetch, pull request.

ChatGPT can help or youtube tuto too!

If after that there is some steps you don't understand come back to me here

Wait what? What is even that? ๐Ÿ˜…

A nostr based git system being implemented by nostr:npub1m4ny6hjqzepn4rxknuq94c2gpqzr29ufkkw7ttcxyak7v43n6vvsajc2jl and crew.

Not done, yet. Use GitWorkshop.dev

So in what way would this be better than Github? Because it is nostr based? Just asking around, no offense ๐Ÿ˜Œ.

Over a decade with several accounts And I still have no idea how to use it

๐Ÿ˜‚ I feel ya

if you get stuck on any part, ask ChatGPT to help you

That could help me out indeed!

Gitea for the win

Why would Gitea be better? Is it some

Kind of variant?

It's an easy to setup self-hosted git server. It's pretty similar to github but obviously doesn't have some of the newer AI features. More privacy focused, of course.

Github Desktop, and similar clients, are great ways to get started without learning terminal codes. You'll need to understand branches, pushing, pulling, fetching, merging, and history in general, at the least, so I recommend reading up on those.

That's all git, not GitHub, tho.

Then I assume I made a useful response ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

That sounds reasonable

Good to have an ohshit reference for git ๐Ÿ˜‚ https://ohshitgit.com

I love github! I guess you already know how to use git, right? Happy to answer any questions, but I'm far from an expert.

Nope. Not at all! ๐Ÿ˜
