… but have never mastered the muscle up technique

First time I'll have to disagree with you. I'd put it closer to 1/3.

Muscle up is more technique and explosiveness but not that much more effort.

If you're over 200 lbs, probably need 15 strict pulls to get 1 muscle up. Or at least 10 explosive, or horizontal arms pulls.

People less than 180 can probably get by with 10 pulls or so.

Otherwise those "easy 10" will look sus

And close-grip muscle-ups? And ring muscle-ups? Doing all three of them now... 😁
