1. Because we (the people) didn't ask for it
2. We don't want to pay for something we didn't ask for.
3. It's expensive
4. It adds unnecessary control, surveillance and friction to most users (all responsible grown-ups), while doing very little to actually prevent crime amd harm.
5. Bad people who have the incentive can always bypass controls.
6. Parents should be, and are responsible for teaching kids and controlling their , not the school, not the society and most definitely not the government. If they need help there can be programs offering help but "help" and "protection" should never be forced to responsible grown-ups.
