To be honest I kind of get it.

I’ve seen a lot of use of it by Instagrammers to have easier conversations with followers.

1. Pose a question on Threads

2. Link it on an IG story

3. Followers click through and get a better UI to interact that IG comments

I think in its current form it’s not seeking to be a Twitter killer. It’s using the same medium but for a smaller circle of inclusion.

As they integrate ActivityPub that may well change though.
