i’m convinced our educational systems are designed to beat the love of learning out of the majority of people.

Unintentionally but yes. They resort to brute-force learning for years on end which is not something out brains are good at.

Facts

The education system seemingly has evolved into breaking kids spirits and making them devoid of creativity. It makes good followers but terribly skilled workers, thinkers, and develops a certain type of person dependant on handouts. 🤷🏽

If you want a challenge that will make you love reading again you should read House of Leaves

And if you've already read House of Leaves read it again and try to figure out who writes with the pink text. 🤷🏽

I majored in Portuguese Philology (linguistics and literature), I can barely pick up a fictional book without hyper-analyzing it and taking away all the joy.

It’s been 20 years since I graduated.

It's hard . I totally get it! 🫂

It too me thirty. You’re ahead of the curve, or….yeah, you are ahead.
