Is primal even a real nostr client? I thought it just talked to their custom backend.
Discussion
It is an iOS app from the TestFlight app store. I don't mean to suggest it was an nostr app.
Yeah I’m not sure. They do the work of fetching from their backend for performance, but I thought it wrote to your relays.
Not withstanding their validity, my expectations are to see the events I create posted to my private relay regardless of which client I might use. In my life, I have had to adjust my expectations for many reasons. Perhaps there is a reason to do so now, I don’t know.
I am not an expert on their methodology, but I know it is different from a standard client, and is so on purpose.
My own designs sit somewhere between the two, but I believe primal leans very heavily server-side.

all reads go through the cache server, all writes go through relays
