In our overly litigious world the companies are doing their CYA. I really hate the game, not the player.
I only see 1 way out. Self-sustainable circular economies leaving the stupid world out.

The good thing is more and more people are waking up to that fact and there are numerous "local exchanges" popping up all over. I know of 7 in my area and I know there are a lot more. It's not the final answer but it's a step in the right direction.
