In the recording, the Israeli operative, speaking Persian, warns the Iranian general that he and his family have 12 hours to escape or risk being killed by Israel. The operative also urges the general to record a video denouncing Iran’s regime and send it via Telegram, threatening, “We’re closer to you than your own neck vein.”

The Post reports this call was part of a broader Israeli intelligence campaign to intimidate and destabilize Iran’s leadership following the assassinations of top Iranian military and nuclear figures. The identity of the Iranian general was not disclosed, and his voice was muted in the published audio.
