Firefox + Ghosery + private window seems works for now for me. Long term fix is to use Rumble, Odysee, or any other alt platform until the content and views make YouTube less relevant. Never put chrome on your system that’s just spyware.

You'll want to set your browser's UA to chrome for it, as YT are also degrading perf for FF users too

Yt-dlp to rip videos to local MP4 before watching works for me. (Gets rid of ads, too.)

Any YT video worth saving is worth sharing, so please up it up on IPFS and share a link on Nostr :)

NewPipe for android...FreeTube for Linux. Both used for years...both used without problems.
