I both agree and disagree. Think about the authority Congress has over your life. I do agree Congress has turned into a circus, but what authority do they keep over me? The legislative branch has been turned into a joke, because of what the executive branch and local government has become. There is real change coming. Congress sets the purse and laws for what the constitution allows, but it’s up to the executive branch to enforce it. Is illegal immigration any more illegal now than in the last 4 years? Of course not. That falls on the executive branch. Will Congress now declare less war the next 4 years? Of course not. They haven’t declared war in decades, yet we still find ourselves “spreading democracy” abroad. That falls on the executive branch. Will Congress institute a new DA in my district that may or may not enforce the laws? Of course not. They falls on state and local government. Yes, he is right, Congress is a circus. But he is wrong to say nothing will change. He doesn’t understand our government.
