Just my own observations is that most of the time when people are zapped a lot it’s either related to some sort of “fundraiser” even if it’s just impromptu, or it’s treated as a demonstration or proof of concept. “Welcome to nostr, Twitter-famous person. Here’s a bazillion zaps on your first post.” The real test I think is whether people who engage in V4V can do so consistently and see a relatively consistent amount of sats coming in from zaps.

Good point. Self-promotion is important. I think there is a difference, though, between an artist promoting their work in a hope to monetize it vs. what amounts to essentially asking for handouts.
