This SUV is the biggest "normal" automobile I've ever ridden in. Feels like driving a tank.

What model? I'm curious... Because it's likely not that large these days. 😁

Buick Enclave

Oh. Gosh...

Get in a Yukon Denali. That's proper big. 😁

Let's not and say we did. 😁

Ha. I really like US style MPVs (Minivans. But unfortunately, they are a) expensive here b) absolutely unsuited for anything :DDDD

And I mean like streets, parking spots, private garages. even some roads outside cities :D

Yeah, well, you have village streets made for carts. We are stupid here. 🫣

In many places we're lucky to have pavement at all.

Well. I mean they are downsides and upsides.

Historical city center from 13. century or so is for sure nice.

Parking slots in huge parking lot outside of capital still measured by cars hundert years ago - not so much...

Just for fun, here is comparison to most purchased car for last six months plus as bonus comparison to somethings considered big here, with which you already have issue to park here 😅

Those Mercedes saloons are so slick...

If I ever bought a German car, it would be an early 2000s manual transmission BMW saloon.

Good choice.

I would probably go for Jag, because it much rarer and looks better.

I mean.

Apart from SAAB obviously... :D

Obviously. 😁

If a jag doesn't have a V12, I ain't interested. 🤷‍♂️

I`d survive with V8 :D

For V12 I believe you need to go to nineties. But then again you get even better design.

And even less reliability I recon :D

I'll stick to an e-type. 😎

If you rewire the whole car, it's not toooooo bad.

Yeah.

And if you break with everything you`ve got including eyes and prayers.

Yeah, those cars break back accounts and hearts, but my goodness, so they sound glorious when driven around a track in anger.

yes 😍

+1 on this lol. Everything is bigger now. My pickup on 37s and a 6" lift is the same height as 2019 factory pickups.

It makes towing annoying.

Plus getting in and out needs an elevator. 😅

Oh yeah. Trust me I don't want mine that high, I just don't have the space to work on big jobs. Plus it's build for power, so big tires suck all the fun out of it. It's geared properly but still would be way more fun if it had some 32s on it :)

i see these types of cars off in the distance a lot around here and they look like old school cars from the olden days... like, the ones with the giant engines and the big wheel arches at the front, though they sorta smoothed out the line between the bonnet and the winddscreen

i remember seeing somewhere that there was a strong correlation between the "face" of cars and their sales - and most people seem to like cars that are super aggro faces

it's quite funny, really, cars really are a projection of personality, no doubt about it

my preference in transport is something light and almost invisible

I like smallish station wagons best. Like a Toyota Corolla Combi

very practical for a homemaker... can carry 4 passengers and alternatively a fortnightly groceries, or the odd bicycle or computer desk, and keep everyone dry in damp weather

Xactly.

You're killing the snails in 150 years from now!
