Sorry to be using you as a guinea pig but see if this new version solves it. I am getting more and more strict with data verification from relays.

Don't be sorry at all! I would be very happy to test all versions at any time! I also already had downloaded the 0.17.4 already installed it and it still has this crash on notification bell for me unfortunately. As said in version 0.16.2 it was still functional with no issues. Thanks again for all your efforts!
Hey I just noticed your umbrel. Have you tried the notifications when you don't have access to your umbrel? I wonder if there is some type of message there that i cannot get here.
Make sure to kill the app if you deactivate your umbrel, that will clear posts already downloaded in memory

Hey I erased the umbrel, cleared cache and memory of amethyst, force stopped the app, still same crash happens as before. No change.
Any chance you can download Android Studio, plug the cable, go to the LogCat view and copy the stack trace that will show up?

i am on it with andoid studio, but why there is no issue if i go back to version 0.16.2?
No idea. I already walked through all the changed i made ..
One thing is for sure. It's something that works on Google's OS or newer versions of Android and it doesn't on Samsung's version.
hey since i am really a professional musician and IT wise an interested nerd with no real programming knowledge, the android studio takes some time for me to figure out, i set my phone on usb debugging mode but could not yet connect to android studio..but just saw another release is out. Will try this now.
