For me, it’s very simple. Two words, free speech. No longer do I feel like I am walking on egg shells or l I have to curb what I say because I don’t want to get booted. I truly feel free. Bitcoin is just a welcome by-product.
The fediverse was well intentioned, but suffers from the same issue as the big platforms, you’re at the mercy of the admin of your instance.
