Space
Afraid to take up space
generations of fear
so long now
its embedded in her DNA
to be polite
empathetic
and small
Do not worry about what
She needs, wants, dreams
Her thoughts
words
feelings
take up space
He cannot afford her
So she remains silent
further pushed down
Shamed
for staying quiet
The eruptions of life
leave trails of blame
that always find
their way
to her
closing
Her
until there is none left
and she disappears
Completely
