Greetings #nostr. I had an interaction here today with someone espousing white supremacist ideas. When I broached the topic with them they flipped out and verbally attacked me. nbd. I see a lot of white supremacist ideas and/or themes across my timeline. I don't always engage with them because it's exhausting to do so, often. (and as a white dude it's my privilege to not need to). Also, I understand that as #nostr is a protocol that allows for free speech with also means all sorts of racist and hateful stuff is going to exist here with the "good." I just want to be clear, that White Supremacy sucks. It hurts almost everybody, except for a few really wealthy white dudes that sit back and laugh as their minions fight with each other and others on the timeline. Also, if you wrap your white supremacy in Christianity, that's another layer of trash--or sin if you're a christian--that many Christians and God are quite unhappy with.
