Ava proposes an interesting model of having a "front-facing web identity" and then a separate private one.
In my own case, I never fully deleted my old Facebook or Twitter accounts, rather just preferring to let them lapse into obscurity (not that they were ever popular). Perhaps, it wouldn't hurt to log into those from time-to-time and publish something short now and again to show I still exist in the mainstream world.
Then, Nostr, SimpleX, and other platforms and protocols can serve as my day-to-day drivers for real expression and interaction.
Thanks for the suggestion, nostr:npub1f6ugxyxkknket3kkdgu4k0fu74vmshawermkj8d06sz6jts9t4kslazcka!
