I think he was awkwardly trying to give his heart to the crowd. Actions certainly speak louder than words or random symbolic gestures.
He fired the govt agents working at twitter, he reduced the censorship of talk about covid & pharma corps & other health issues. He appears to be opposed to war & opposed to govt controls.
Do Nazis want less censorship & less war & less govt control?
I would be more inclined to believe he purposely did something that could be confused with a Nazi salute purely to keep the left irrationally losing their minds. The election showed that the people who believe the endless "Trump is a Nazi" claims are a minority. And irrational behavior from that minority tends to motivate the conservative base.
If they stop the wars & cut trillions out of the govt budget I don't care if he grows the mustache & high steps with his arm up all over national news.
