Just read the digital assets section of the Economic Report of the President. Apparently there are NO benefits to bitcoin, which kills the environment and hurts people. However, CBDCs are the only useful expression of the technology, and totally awesome.
CBDCs = abolition of cash and 100% control

it’s scary for sure. the empire is striking back. but decentralized uncensorable systems may be powerful enough to overcome. but we must be relentless and focused on fighting back
