The safety features on more expensive hardware wallets are unmatched, but not everyone is dealing with large funds, highly dangerous threat models, or even have to regularly engage with the hardware wallet.

If you are doing any of those three, I would highly recommend spending the money. Otherwise that should do swimmingly.
