Good morning nostr, i love love our woodstove. Its 33F outside, but in the house its a cozy 74 with only the woodstove going. We just got our new hvac system, but havent had to start the heater yet. Our hvac system is much more critical during our long, brutal summers.
So today we have errands in the morning, then just the usual chores. I need to start doing some trail trimming again, maybe i'll start on that. But coffee first. Our HVAC is just backup for our wood/coal stove (It kicks in during the early morning hours when the stove has nearly burned out). I love the cozy fire heat.
Our home is big enough that wood alone won't keep the house warm, but burning coal will. It is so much cheaper than the trucked in propane that is our other option.
