Sub-Zero Mythologies gets a lot of shit, but as a kid, I loved it. The game center I played at wouldn’t even let kids touch it, which only made me want to play more. I was blown away by the live-action cut scenes—it felt like something out of a movie. When I was a teenager, I finally emulated the game on my PC. I remember rushing through an algebra exam just to get home and play (I still scored an A+ on that test!). With plenty of walkthroughs and the infinite save function of the emulator, I eventually finished the game—and every bit of the journey was worth it.
