How is NostrNests even related to Nostr? How is it different than something like Jitsi?

somethings are better left unsaid. recommend no more news like these, for the sake of the people, our industry.

What do you mean?

it’s a copypasta

Vous dites bien le mode *industrie* c'est plus qu'anecdoctique non ?

🤣

I was thinking the same thing about that tube site that was all the rage a few weeks ago. I asked the developers multiple times about it in different venues and no answer. The truth is people are just building centralized websites and replacing RSS with nostr and hoping to cash in on the growth of the network. Which is cool, but they're being dishonest about it, which is not cool.

I thought the point was just to clone a Twitter Spaces type tool for people looking for a Twitter replacement/Twitter type expreience, along with a really basic way to verify your nostr identity within the nest?

Can I log in to Jitsi with nostr?

What tube site?

I think this one https://www.flare.pub/

I was also under the impression that this one was a centralized affinity scam website that used the Nostr name, but in fact it is trying to build upon an open protocol. There is a NIP for videos and all that.

Well I asked people in a few online places how the videos were hosted and never got an answer, and looking at the site there was no link to source anywhere, no about, nothing. I don't know if that's changed.

Yes

Finally, I thought I was alone.

Mainly it uses Nostr for auth.

Estava a pensar nisso essa semana também.

I think this is the correct way.

But I also think the current thing should be turned off or at least renamed.
