I’m involved in a summer camp ministry. No phones allowed the whole week. I’ve seen kids cry having to turn in their phones.
And then they have the best week of their lives having real experiences and making real friends.
Last time I went a week without a phone I was on a stupid reality tv show.
The pillow talk and conversations off camera were amazing.
That would raise serotonin rather than dopamine, to be fair. "Dopamine detoxes" are fake, and a means to shove cannon law down one's throat.
Just pulled out my old iPod. I think I might go back to just music and wired headphones at the gym.
Definitely a hack. Mine stays behind for every run and gym sesh.
