Did you look into IPFS (admittedly it'd be hard to make a better event name while incorporating a core function of it) and how much it can, and can't do compared to OnionShare?

OnionShare is just an application using Tor. No such application exists for I2P, and the process of setting up an eepsite is far from simple. An application that lets anybody select some files & click a button to share content over I2P would be a game changer
