You can do the same with nostr. If I type your nostr name into the search bar of my client it brings your profile right up.

How do I share my Nostr “url” via your verification which should be REALjasonansley@verifed-nostr.com

At first that wasn’t working for me with a couple of users.
I realized I needed to delete and retype the last character of the pubid and that allowed Damus to recognize them
