I'd love to try Mutiny Wallet but 16,000 sats per month just to get a custom lightning address as it's a perk of Mutiny+ seems quite excessive to me.
Also, the more I try lightning/LND with channels/rebalancing, on-chain to off-chain, it's starting to feel like it's more hassle than its worth.

Like all things in Bitcoin being based on trade-offs, I think Lightning's is precisely that - Liquidity... and sure, some privacy too (which is being refined with BOLTs).
I'm currently of the mind that, aside from other L2s like Ark really taking off, most people will eventually just use either custodial LN, or ecash. And being a small LSP operator for a mint used by a community or family, may be worth the hassle.
