Bolt12 is gaining momentum! Finally! Rusty, let's ride the wave and close the gap on CLN bolt12 incompatibility with LDK regarding offers? There are some issues when I tried to pay offer from my CLN that was created by LDK. Maybe also sneak in some improvement for recipients privacy with blinded paths? I am not rich, but I can zap you some good coffee if it helps keep you coding π
I fixed all the compat issues I know of in the (very fresh!) latest CLN release: are there more?
There is definitely more work to do, especially on privacy: blinded incoming paths for offers especially.
Even on 24.05 I can't pay Matt's public offer - I created github issue for that:
Yeah, we need to handle (non-trivial) blinded paths in offers. I've assigned this to me for next release.
Cool 𧑠I also created few more bolt12 related issues on github today, for example decode command fails to parse one offer and thinks it is rune instead. Another offer fails to decode for unknown reason and yet another offer I can't fetch invoice because offer doesn't have description:
