Ah I see! Actually you are getting at something I've been thinking about. I'd like to give admins the option to make the "local" feed show anyone who was *approved* for a username on that domain even if it's not the one they currently have set on their profile!

This would solve your problem because you could just grant yourself a NIP-05 on that domain, but then choose not to set it.

I'm not 100% sure I've convinced the rest of the team this is a good idea, but if there is a demand from users that's good to know! So for now the best I can say is... stay tuned? 👀

Yes that would be perfect! I was thinking of a something like lobbying the Nostr-verse for a NIP-5.1, where you can add multiple NIP-5.1s to your profile to denote memberships in communities (so as not to encroach on the NIP 5.0).

But being approved for a NIP-05 that you simply don't use serves the same purpose (admin still has to put your npub in the well-known json, all that.) Plus your green-lighting by that community would not be visible on your profile, which might actually be better.

Good idea, convince the team, I'll use it!

I'm sending this convo to the chat right now! 🔥🔥🔥
