Ah, but they will pay us to sign up. They will reward us with our own money. We will get “benefits” that will be difficult to resist and if we do we will be cutoff from services.
Hmm hard to resist i suppose. Also hard with a family. Not sure how to proceed. I can’t deprive my family by resisting it.
I’m not sure how it’s going to play out, but I don’t see much resistance coming from the majority of Canadian voters.

If we have a digital ID. It will live on its own separate phone that gets turned on only when needed.
It will be “needed” for everything. Banking, air travel, taxes, car insurance, car liscense, passports.
It’s not just Canada. E-Verify in US.
True. I read a little bit about that. But our ruling party, has made CBDCs, ubi and digital identity, “digital” regulations stated goals of their platform and no one is batting an eye. There are few provinces that have pushed back but they don’t hold the power that eastern provinces do. We are much further down the road and without a constitution. We have a charter of rights and freedoms but it’s not the same.
