I've decided today to do backstrap tablet weaving while I'm abroad. It's one of the most ancient methods of weaving that is seen across the world. 2000BC ancient.

Since it is so old, it requires very simple tools and travels well. I need to procure a few stick-like objects, cardstock, hole punch and yarn.

In history they would have used wood, bone, horn or leather for the hole punched tablets. The yarn would have been whatever was present in their environment. Wool in Nordic countries, plant fibers (hemp, raime, flax) in hotter climates.
