I dis like the idea of showing tip amounts in USD. This is fully cycle Bitcoin eco-system and there is other sites for people to spend USD.

As for showing the USD amount for a sat zap, that's already the case when people sign their transactions plus the maths is quite simple.

With BTC at 29k anyone should be able to do the maths for 100, 1,000, 10,000, 100,000 or a million sats in their head.

I do agree with some of the other points raised. Also, scheduled adult streams seem to display as announce on the main page. those should be announced with the +18 section.

The page was a quick hack for when adult content became a thing and I believe eventually we will have proper categories as seen on other streaming sites. They also just pull them from a global catalogue and implement that to their sites. Nobody is maintaining all games and other categories manually.

I would also suggest to rename that section (for now) and make it clearly ADULT. My streams are technically +18 because I play +18 games and the language isn't suited for minors. Thus on a regular site my gaming stream would be tagged +18. Therefore we should clearly make adult content...drumroll... adult content.

to add, on-screen alerts and automated messages (chat bot) are being worked on afaik and I'm totally against spamming nostr with stream alerts every 15 minutes.

Spamming is the least thing I want to do here on nostr.. DMs only to followers ever. However sending a simple note only with relevant hashtags and links (no endless adding @user1 @user2 @user3) isnt spam in my view. This is common marketing practice on Twitter and all other social networks. For sure there is a sweet spot for everything

Right now the GLOBAL feed like on the Iris client( which I use), can be used as a marketing tool and I ABSOLUTELY will use it. In the future, where there are thousands of notes per second, the GLOBAL feed well go away and #tags will be more important on nostr.

The spam problem can easily be solved with attaching zaps to notes. In other words you pay me to ready your notes.
