Webstream Enhancements

We had two adult live streams on zap.stream during the last week. Here is a quick summary of how we can enhance the flow, excitement, and monetization of those streams in regards to adult streaming.

Earnings: 30 USD (1 USD during the stream, and 30 USD sold on https://lightning.video/erikhanahara)

We want adult streamers to mark their streams as NSFW. Yes, it's frustrating to be on the second page (https://zap.stream/nsfw) and not be presented on the main page. However, we fully understand that zap.stream might encounter legal or funding issues in the future. We also don't want to see explicit content like dick-sucking gay porn, slurpy pussies, or the infamous "2 girls one cup" stuff.

Enhancements for Adult Streams:

Changing the ZAP Menu:

To monetize and run a profitable Adult Web stream, certain things must be enhanced at zap.stream. The Zap Menu should be different when a stream is marked as NSFW. It should encourage users to zap amounts between 5$ - 50$ (In onlyFans, the minimum tip is 5$, and the max tip is 50$). The Zap Menu could show USD prices instead of SATS. Utilizing emojis in the Zap Menu might also be effective:

In an updated version, streamers could create their own menu with personalized emojis (e.g., Tits Emoji 5USD, Pussy Emoji 10USD, Dildo Show 20$, Private Call 50$).

Show Links to Shop:

To further monetize the adult stream, streamers should be able to create a link menu or a text field where they can present links and other information to the viewers on the stream page. For instance, displaying lightning shop links (https://lightning.video/erikhanahara), Amazon Wish list (https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1ZVQKNY7INSP7?), and a BTC address in case the viewer runs out of zaps. This could be implemented with a TOGGLE ON/OFF menu, with the default being TOGGLE ON, to ensure viewers are aware of this additional information.

Promotion of the Stream

Communication is paramount for the success of any influencer on any platform. Zap.Stream should, at least, send a Note when a stream is announced or started. Ideally, the streamer's followers should be notified by a DM, and every 15 minutes or so, a note should be sent to the global anostr feed promoting the stream. For this additional promotion service, zap.stream could charge the streamer a certain amount of satoshis.

I dis like the idea of showing tip amounts in USD. This is fully cycle Bitcoin eco-system and there is other sites for people to spend USD.

As for showing the USD amount for a sat zap, that's already the case when people sign their transactions plus the maths is quite simple.

With BTC at 29k anyone should be able to do the maths for 100, 1,000, 10,000, 100,000 or a million sats in their head.

I do agree with some of the other points raised. Also, scheduled adult streams seem to display as announce on the main page. those should be announced with the +18 section.

The page was a quick hack for when adult content became a thing and I believe eventually we will have proper categories as seen on other streaming sites. They also just pull them from a global catalogue and implement that to their sites. Nobody is maintaining all games and other categories manually.

I would also suggest to rename that section (for now) and make it clearly ADULT. My streams are technically +18 because I play +18 games and the language isn't suited for minors. Thus on a regular site my gaming stream would be tagged +18. Therefore we should clearly make adult content...drumroll... adult content.

to add, on-screen alerts and automated messages (chat bot) are being worked on afaik and I'm totally against spamming nostr with stream alerts every 15 minutes.

Spamming is the least thing I want to do here on nostr.. DMs only to followers ever. However sending a simple note only with relevant hashtags and links (no endless adding @user1 @user2 @user3) isnt spam in my view. This is common marketing practice on Twitter and all other social networks. For sure there is a sweet spot for everything

Right now the GLOBAL feed like on the Iris client( which I use), can be used as a marketing tool and I ABSOLUTELY will use it. In the future, where there are thousands of notes per second, the GLOBAL feed well go away and #tags will be more important on nostr.

The spam problem can easily be solved with attaching zaps to notes. In other words you pay me to ready your notes.
