What if the root of socialism actually is just a deep sense of self loathing? If a person had insecurities that made them feel as though they didn't deserve wealth or love or respect or admiration, but (being human) they still wanted all of those things, wouldn't it make sense to demand that all of the above be made freely available so that their own deep belief that they are incapable of deserving them wouldn't have to actually be considered or dealt with at all?

Seems plausible. Narcissists supposedly hate themselves deeply.

I think it's arrogance of putting your own will over reality -> failure -> resentment

I believe there are 3 groups:

1. arrogant enough that they believe their ideas are so good that they have to beaten to others

2. insecure ppl who are afraid that they won't be able to live without help (and they don't know the cost of this help)

3. idealists who believe their ideas are so good they can save the world (and don't understand they need 1st kind)

Scarcity mentality
