I sometimes wonder if the striving is what I'm after and not the ultimate achievement. This is why focusing on achieving my highest ideal is important along with the continuous reevaluation of what the highest ideal is as I gain experience and knowledge throughout life. If I focus on the ideal, it is impossible to achieve or perfect but continuously possible to improve upon, continuous striving. Hopefully the financial capital Bitcoin provides will only create freedom to focus more on my ideals and less on achievement of idea of financial success.

Well said, I think that approach is good.
Always have something that you're working towards but not something so impossible that you're discouraged. The permaculture work that you do will never be finished, you have successes but there's always some problem to solve & some aspect to improve.
I think we thrive on having a greater purpose & meaning to our action. To be creating & expanding. We seem to wither when we lose that even if we have all our basic needs met.
I don't want success, I want succession. One thing leading to the next for generations beyond me. I can only hope someone picks up where I left off. I romanticize the idea that this was or will be the way of the world at some point. People building something that could only be completed by the next generation and that generation understanding the gift they've been given of the work of those that came before them.
I'm assuming that there'll be young Bitcoiners full of energy, vitality & enthusiasm but lack capital & experience. Keen to get their hands dirty & carve out their life on their own piece of soil.
I'm hoping my son will take over but I'm also not counting on it. Someone will take it over, they always do.
Yeah! Succession trumps success.
Sounds like you are saying that working on the edge between impossible and already done is the most productive.
The universe is always trying to balance itself, to return to an equilibrium point.
I don't know if it's the most productive but it seems to be the most satisfying. The middle path has the most potential for individual growth.
