I’m glad someone is going after this pathetic scum company. They hold your data hostage and force you to agree to their terms.

No one is forcing you to use their software. This is not a job for the government. Just stop using their software. They have the right to do whatever they want with their business.

No. If you did use their software, they took your data hostage unless you agreed to have your data scanned. You could literally lose your work if you didn’t comply with their fraud.

I hate Adobe with a passion and haven’t used their products in decades. They can rot in hell.

Did they hold a gun to your head and force you to use their software?

Like I said I don’t use their software. But you cannot change terms on customers without allowing them to exit out of your system. I don’t know what you call that but sounds like fraud.

It sounds to me as though you are not informed of what actually went down.

It sounds like if you use their software without reading the fine print you are a fucking moron that get what you pay for. Why should I have to pay taxes because others like to get tucked by Adobe? Maybe just don't use adobe. Now the government will just establish some bullahit guidelines that Adobe probably lobbied for that protects them and hurts their competition. When government steps in it is never a good thing

Thanks for confirming that you’re blissfully unaware of the latest developments at Adobe.

It doesn't matter 😂. Name one thing the government made better. I dare you.

Now the government will make Adobe look OK again. People will feel safer. Thwir competitors will also have to adhust to these new rules and spend resources and time. Adobe will still make money.

Now here's a crazy idea I wonder if you've heard this yet: Just stop using Adobe.

What alternative to Adobe do you prefer?

If I sued Adobe for this right now, I would/should lose.

They do exactly what they say they'll do. Up front, they say they can use your data however they want. They say they'll charge you if you cancel. The cancel button was always hard to find. The support was always crap.

But we all just click "accept" on the T&C anyway. That choice has a consequence. Adobe is assho, yes, but we signed on the dotted line. Now, instead of just going out of business due to lack of customers, they live to invent new ways to screw us, and we've been protected from ourselves.

I agree with your anger. I feel it. I have things tied up with Adobe software and fonts. It will hurt me badly to unwind from them. But I chose to make a deal with the devil, and now I owe a soul. A different devil isn't the answer.
