I’ve found that explaining the connection between wealth and productivity and energy consumption is very effective at cutting through to people who sense the climate change narrative is bullshit but don’t really know how or why. This graphic is a great representation and starting point to use on normies

Energy is the lifeblood of society. If you cut it off, society wil die.

Energy takes all kinds of shapes, money being one.

Is there a link with a collection of data for this stuff, like WTF Happened in 1971? for fiat.

There’s a ton of stuff on https://energytalkingpoints.com

This is brilliant thank you.

It becomes a lot easier to convince people when there's so much sourced data they can't argue, that's the beauty of the 1971 link I use it all the time. It leaves people thinking.

Productivity, the ability to produce more with less, is a key driver of wealth creation. Energy consumption plays a vital role in productivity by enhancing production efficiency. The availability and cost of energy influence the structure of production, as entrepreneurs adjust their strategies based on energy prices. Changes in energy availability and costs can lead to shifts in production methods and resource allocation, impacting overall wealth creation in an economy. Thus, wealth, productivity, and energy consumption are interconnected.

Maybe I'm missing something here. What I see in this chart is: Wealthy nations buy more of a product, poor nation's buy less. In this case, the product is "energy."

It's only Electricity, many countries have poor electricity network and rely on burning coil and other more polluting energy for their need. The more a country is advanced and toward renewable energy, the more percentage of its energy comsuption will be electric vs non-renewable solutions. But I agree that the general trend is toward the wealtiest consuming more.
